TBAN Luncheon - Apr 16
Records Management: Changing the Face of Technology
Thomas Utiger, CEO, Data Empowerment Group
Records Management…Isn’t that a bunch of folks locked away in the basement playing with paper and boxes?
Maybe a few years ago that answer would have sufficed, but with the major changes in business environment, records management now has a major impact on organizations and especially on the technology that is currently deployed or will be deployed in the future. Ignoring the requirements of records management has cost many firms many millions of dollars and will continue to cause pain and loss of money at companies that chose to ignore the changing world of compliance. This presentation will review the major elements of records management and their impacts on various technology platforms that companies have chosen to deploy.

Entertainment Engineering & Design, a new undergraduate major in the College, addresses the challenges of combining cutting edge engineering with the creative presentation that characterizes so many of the theater shows, especially those produced by Cirque du Soleil.
